LPFM Local Ownership Information

Unlike full-service radio and TV stations, LPFM stations are not required to file ownership reports to the FCC. Despite that, LPFM stations are expected to maintain either a headquarters/campus or the residences of at least 75% of the organization's board members within 20 miles of the LPFM transmitting antenna (10 miles within America's top-50 media markets). LPFM stations may voluntarily file FCC Ownership Reports however, they are required to file with the FCC if the makeup of their board of directors changes at least 50% since either the creation of the station or the last time they have notified the FCC of a 'transfer of control'. LPFM stations are encouraged to demonstrate transparency by voluntarily disclosing their current board members through this Voluntary Online Public Inspection File system. For those stations that have not participated in this function, we will attempt to build their current structure based on previous filings with the FCC.
